Sankt-Peterburg, earlier carried names:  Petrograd; Leningrad; the colloquial name — Peter, Petersburg — a city of federal value of the Russian Federation, an administrative centre of Northwest federal district, the location of the supreme bodies of the power Leningrad regions.
